A 2-Day development programme for Black-led and Asian-led Creative Businesses that want to trade internationally

A highly interactive two-day programme that has been designed specifically to provide established Black-led and Asian-led creative businesses based in London with information on how to export their products and services internationally.

This programme will be of most benefit to creative businesses working in Film, Music and Design (from Live Event Management, Artist Management, Festival Production, Distribution, Film Production, Fashion, Architecture, Product Design, Advertising, Crafts, Illustration to Graphic Design)

Day 1: “Accessing International Markets” (Information Session)
Date: Wednesday, 13th October 2010
Time: 10am – 4pm
Venue: Rich Mix, 35-47 Bethnal Green Rd, London E1 6LA

Day 2: “The Realities and Innovations behind Exporting Creativity” (Panel Discussion)
Date: Thursday, 21st October 2010
Time: 6pm – 9pm
Venue: London South Bank University, The Keyworth Centre, Keyworth Street, London, SE1 6NG

COST:

* FREE* to commercially trading registered businesses (Soletrader, Self-employed, Limited Company by Shares, Limited Company by Guarantee or CICs)

* £15 for non-registered businesses

* £5 Day 2 only ticket. Open to registered and non-registered individuals and businesses from the Creative and Cultural Industries.

Programme information

Day 1 will provide participants with:

* A presentation by UKTI on how to effectively engage with UK based organisations that support the Creative Industries in exporting their products and services.

* An overview of working internationally

* An insight into the barriers and obstacles

* Information on how to build lasting relationships with overseas platform organisations and international partners

Day 2 is a high level panel discussion and networking session, where participants can hear innovative and entrepreneurial approaches on how to successfully sell their products or services internationally.

*We can only offer one FREE space per organisation. If there is more than one person from your organisation wishing to attend, we would recomment that the person directly responsible for developing international trade attends.
